Overview: For this project, I developed an e-commerce website on the Shopify platform with multilingual support. This project showcases my ability to create robust and user-friendly online stores that cater to a diverse audience by offering content in multiple languages.

Key Features:

  1. Multilingual Support: The website supports multiple languages, allowing users to browse and shop in their preferred language.
  2. Product Listings: The website features a wide range of products categorized into different collections, making it easy for users to find what they’re looking for.
  3. Dynamic Content: Content such as product descriptions, navigation menus, and buttons are dynamically translated based on the selected language.
  4. Currency Conversion: Users can view prices in their local currency, with automatic conversion based on the selected language and location.
  5. Responsive Design: The website is designed to be responsive, ensuring a seamless shopping experience across devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.

  • Language Switcher: A language switcher is implemented to allow users to easily switch between languages, with language preferences stored for returning users.
  • SEO Optimization: SEO optimizations are performed to ensure that each language version of the website is indexed properly by search engines, improving discoverability for users searching in different languages.

Challenges Faced:

  • Translation Management: Managing translations for a large number of products and content pages required careful planning and organization to maintain consistency and accuracy across languages.
  • Theme Customization: Customizing the Shopify theme to support multilingual functionality while preserving the design and user experience presented unique challenges.
